The Trump Card

Donald Trump. I have never been real fond of Mr Trump, not for any one specific reason, just don't like him.
There is just something about him, and I trust my 'something' sensor (also known as 'the little voice')
But, if I was to be forced, I could probably share some thoughts......
Why come out punching at the current president about something as lame as his birth certificate? The issue had been resolved to the satisfaction of all the sane people out there. The only people who still had an problem were the ones who would tell you Obama was born on a sandy middle-eastern knoll even if you took them back in a time machine and allowed them to cut Obama's umbilical cord while they drank margaritas on the beach while hula dancers performed for the occasion.
I guess Trump thought this was where he wanted to start building his base supporters. Maybe he used the following logic "If I can get those morons to buy into my spiel they will be hooked forever, look at the Kennedy thing"
And if Trump is such a bad-assed business man, with so much power why can't he get a little info on whether the president's birthplace is really in the USA? I can understand if John Conspiracy can't manage the resources to find out if his peas really came from a can much less info on the validity of Obama's birthplace. You would think Trump, being a successful business man, would be able to get a little insight on the matter from people more credible than the Area 51 Lodge members.
Then when Obama does what is equal to the smart kid using algebra to make the dodge ball hit the loudest kid in class right in the mouth, the loud kid gets up and shouts "GOT HIM!"
Why Trump actually expects people to think he won this battle is beyond me. I was thinking someone might need to get him a towel for his bloody nose.
You are probably wondering what's next. What else does Donald have in his extremely expensive bag full of tricks? Well, in case you missed it, he already whipped it out.
The next strategic move is for Donny to use a gig speaking in front of a Republican women's group to his advantage by cussing at/about the enemy. The enemy, to Trump it seems, is the current leadership, the Chinese, and anyone who has to do with oil. While I would agree that many of the people Trump was talking about do fit his description and I would like to tell them...wait, let me use Donald's words, he's so cool "Listen you fuck, we're gonna tax you 25 percent." or "You're not gonna raise that fucking price, you understand me?"
In fact, I'm gonna try that on the guy at the gas station on the corner. I wonder how that will work out...yea, it won't work. Most likely the dude is going to tell me to go fuck myself and then tell me he is going to charge me an extra nickel a gallon for being a dick.
While listening to what Donny said at the women's meeting was extremely entertaining and I have to admit Donny got some points from me for having the balls to do it. A leader it does not make, not a leader of people anyway. I have a habit of telling people they are stupid whenever I feel they deserve it. I do it when I am done trying to work things out. I do it after some effort has been made. Trump hasn't even scheduled a meeting. When(or big IF) he does ever manage to meet with the people he has already told indirectly to fuck off because they are stupid, what do you think they are gonna be thinking?
If I need to talk to my neighbor about his dog taking a dump on my front lawn all the time do I spend the week before on my cell phone in the front lawn saying things like "I'm going to tell that lop if he doesn't do something about that dog I'm going to make soup out of it and serve it at the homeless shelter, then I'm going to bang his wife" Well, I could do that but....
Now a few words for the people out there who may be dreaming of  'President Trump' buttons pinned to their sweaters.....Sure he seems cool, telling those people you hate to fuck off and not taking any of their shit. Trump does it his way and those losers will do it his way too. Think about this...... How long before you become the ones who don't want to do it the Trump way and he is telling you to go fuck yourself? Oh, it will happen....trust that you fucking moron.

Military Romeo-Alpha-Papa-Echo

I heard a report on the radio yesterday. It was on rapes in the military. I was curious how many rapes could possibly happen .....I mean really. You would think some idiot would commit a rape about as often as it took for the troops to forget what happened to the last person. The punishment for such a crime would have to be pretty bad, you would think the military wouldn't take any shit, you would think.
Representative Jackie Speier,  who also told the  House of Representatives in Feb the story about her abortion while they decided whether to de-fund planned parenthood, made a statement about rapes in the military. In her speech the following points were made-

  • Women in the U.S. military are more likely to be raped by fellow soldiers than killed by enemy fire.

  • One victim was lectured by the base chaplain, who claimed that 96 percent of sexual assaults on women occur when drinking is involved. The victim had not been drinking.

  • In another case after seeking the assistance of the military chaplain, he told her "it must have been God's will for her to be raped" and recommended she attend church more frequently.

  • The Department of Defense estimates that more than 19,000 service members were raped or sexually assaulted in 2010.
  • Only 13.5 percent of the victims report when they have been raped.
I don't know about you but when I read this my response was "What the fuck?!"  Estimated 19,000??
    19,000?
How could this possibly be going on? I have no idea how this could be allowed to go on and people are not outraged. I hope Jackie can get something done about it. Maybe she will have better luck than she did with the planned-parenthood deal. The way it's been going the fucking Republicans will probably vote to open more churches on military bases, after all the chaplain said to "attend more church services"
Now if anyone ever wonders why I feel like it is important to speak out against organized religion, this is a good example. The chaplains telling the victims it was somehow their own fault or assuming the victim had put herself in a situation to deserve it is in itself an assault.
If these chaplains actually believe what they are saying, and it is more than likely they do, that type of thinking is a threat to every woman in the military at least. If the sermon on Sunday addresses the rape issue, and the Chaplin shares his holy opinion on why women solders are being raped. Could it be that a drunk (or even sober) solder would reflect back on that ideal when the woman he is out with Friday night says no? Would he maybe look at her and think "she probably don't go to church" followed by another rape? Anybody want to tell me it couldn't happen? No, because if you tried to you would be full of shit, mentally handicapped, or just plain fuckin' stupid.

    Atheist Action Figures

Have not had the chance to blog lately...been busy....really busy.
"On what?" you ask. "I'm glad you asked" I reply.
I do a podcast called ReapSowRadio it's an Atheist doing talk radio about whatever the hell he wants and it is something I enjoy doing very much.
So I updated the website ReapSowRadio

I also have, as one of my many side projects,  this site KSP
Then there is the on-line store...which has been moving pretty well Art Outspoken
And it is official, I will be simulcasting my friend The SaintsRevenge when he does his Atheist TV program on Tuesdays at 3pm pst/6pm est.
There is one more thing I am working on and if I can pull it off then it will be yet another instance of Atheists and Skeptics showing their presence. I like Freethought Radio but it is tough to get in touch with whoever it is running the site. That's the only hint you get.
    Now back to work....

ReapSowRadio live every Tuesday at 3pm pacific on http://reapradio.net

    Atheist Outcast

I got kicked off another social site......Those of you who have been around for a while probably aren't that surprised for the simple reason that it has happened so many times rather than because you figure I deserved it.
I joined the 'think atheist' site because someone who was part of it invited me. Nothing about the site was particularly impressive, it was pretty much the cookie-cut design you see on many specialized social sites. You had the small group of members who posted constantly on everything, the small group of sporadic members who would pop in once and a while when they got bored with facebook, and the huge number of members who were in the directory but had never quite figured out how to make it back to the site after that first day of registering.
I was just starting to warm up to the site, some of the members had accepted my contributions as worthwhile which got me past the silent initiation that always seems to be conducted on these types of websites.
I had listened to the podcast for think atheist and found it was not a complete waste of my time which made it worth mentioning on my own radio show/podcast (yes I do a podcast...you knew that right?) In fact I had just gave it a mention during this week's show.
I had also started posting my blog there. think atheist will not allow you to post a link to your own blog with a short description as a blog on their site. I assume this is because they want to keep you in their vicinity as much as possible, if you wonder off you may never come back.
The last blog I had posted received some positive feedback from some people who seemed to have a sense of humor, another good sign.
Then there was a comment posted to my blog from some dude named jacob. jacob was trying to answer the questions in my blog with "YOU ARE GONNA BURN IN HELL!..........UNLESS YOU LOVE JESUS" and other similar rhetoric. I know a troll when I see one so I responded with exactly the amount of respect jacob was owed. There were maybe 4 or 5 messages back and forth by the time it was done the last comment was one that informed jacob the answer, response, or opinion to anything else he posted was "Shut The Fuck Up"
I don't go around starting shit on people's blogs or on forums just for the hell of it. Some people may think that is the case but the are mistaking my honest opinion as some remark only meant to instigate anger.
I also don't put up with any moronic simpleton who thinks it's cute to dummy-up the comment section of my blog either. Whenever this happens the response is a slap which gets a bit harder each time that person continues resisting the lesson plan I have laid out.
I don't land on someone unless they have flagged me down. This prick jacob had flagged me down. I noticed he had posted a blog that proclaimed his inability to understand why everyone didn't love jesus. It was his first, and only blog, it had just been posted. For someone to post such a blog on an Atheist site indicated the 'troll' label was fitting very nicely on jacob.
I went to the blog and waded through the multiple Atheists who were trying to engage in conversation with jacob and explain to him the error of his ways. jacob would respond with more ranting about god being real because you couldn't prove it/he/she wasn't, you know, all the classic stereotypical points christians get credit for. To me jacob obviously was more bored than christian.
I posted in the comment section my suspicions that jacob was a troll and pointed out he wasn't a very good one. The comment was sarcastic but it was not overly obscene. I did not claim that jacob's mother had a dick, that his father traded blow-jobs for snickers bars or anything like that.
Before I knew it my comment had been removed. At first I thought jacob was not playing fair and had removed it himself.....then I saw an email from someone named cara.
Cara was informing me that my comment was a 'personal attack' on jacob and she was having none of it. I think it may have also contained a sentence about how cara liked to dress as wonder woman and hang out in the laundry room to make sure there were no evil-doers leaving clothes in the washer too long after the machine had stopped.
Cara also informed me that jacob was young and she had once been like him but now she was a super-atheist who had been born with a unique gene. It was called the ED gene (egotistical delusion) This mutation made cara think she was everyone's mother, only better. She also informed me that we just needed to be patient and tolerant with jacob after all he was a kid. Cara also shared with me some of her ageless wisdom such as how she had noticed religious people do not instantly agree with many of the points Atheists make and their opinions often differ. Obviously to cara these facts were monumental and little known.
Between cara considering the obvious as brilliant intellect and admitting she had been just like jacob I knew I was not dealing with an intellectual power-house, that insight turned out to be a huge understatement.
I responded to cara and informed her jacob was probably a troll, and some of the reasons I had come to that conclusion. I also pointed out even if he wasn't his interaction on the site was not what could be described as a mature exchange of opinions.
By this time several of the more astute members of think atheist were making comments which echoed what I had said to cara.
Reading the comment thread on jacobs blog was like watching a guy run around a room with a bag full of chickens while a guy in a suit sat on a chair in the middle of the room. The man in the suit was reading verses of Shakespeare, after each verse he would ask the man running around the room maniacally to explain what it meant. The man would then pull a chicken out of the bag, cut its head off and then begin running again yelling out random words as the chicken's body also ran around squirting blood instead of speaking. The man in the suit would then look down and read another verse. This scene was playing out over and over while at least one of the mods (cara) sat back and watched to make sure no one asked the crazy guy to relax or try to make sense.
Members of the think atheist site were taking turns wearing the suit. Some of the members had even gone out and bought their own suit just for this occasion.
Under other circumstances I would have said "fucking morons" out loud to myself and went back to what I was doing but the fact that I was getting shit because a couple of morons named cara and jacob were acting out pissed me off.
Then another response from cara. The condescending tone had grown stronger. For some reason she felt the need to again tell me about how she had once been religious but overcame it. The reply gave me the impression cara had a strong need to be seen as important in some way.
She again told me no one was ever allowed to be rude to anyone else at think atheist, EVER. Even if jacob was a troll she would not tolerate anyone criticizing his personality over it. Then the mother hen told me just because I didn't like what he was saying didn't mean I could be a big bully in his blog comments.
I informed cara that I didn't really give a shit about jacob's blog post, it was just a tool of the troll. What seemed a bit screwed was the fact he was coming onto my blog and posting total crap, he was intent on leading everyone on the site to god (he had said so outright) he was personally attacking people left and right (cara knew this because she had warned him already), and his profile,if true, said he was young. I can understand if you have a minor come in and be mature enough to have a productive conversation. To allow one to come in and behave as jacob was and then make excuses for him while pretending he was gonna all of the sudden reach maturity right before our eyes was just stupid.
I also informed the magistrate cara coleen that in my opinion she sucked as a moderator and her lack of ability shouldn't result in the think atheist site becoming something that resembles myspace. I informed her of the dangers of allowing trolls run unchecked and told her not to reply back to me again. I then blocked her to make sure this exercise in futility would end. I had said what I needed to say. I went to my own blog and removed some of the less tasteful comments because it was the right thing to do, I then went about my business.
I guess my words hit too close to the truth for someone because as a result I was banned from the site. I was not banned because of some public outburst, I had not posted any other comments since cara had sent me her last reply. I can only assume I was banned because some idiot who also happens to be an Atheist couldn't stand to hear an honest opinion about her. I guess she expected me to draw her a nice picture of a butterfly with the words 'yes ma'am' scribbled in the top corner as my reply.
Well fuck her and if think atheist supports her actions then fuck them too. The only reason I'm writing this is because people should be made aware of places where idiots (at least sometimes) rule so they can avoid those places if they wish.
Any social site should pick mods with thicker skin. Shit I didn't even begin to share my ability to be a dickhead with cara. A 'freethinking' site should allow free expression especially when it is in a private exchange, if they don't then all you have is a bunch of clones slapping each other on the back and telling each other how pretty and smart they are.... kinda like a church picnic.

    A question for jesus

When the ladies from the church first came to my door (very nice older ladies and very tolerant of yours truly it should be noted)I was tempted to do the old fast attack on them. Throwing questions at them faster than they could possibly answer then shouting "Can you answer even ONE of my questions!?" This would be followed by my door closing and a loud "JESUS CHRIST!"
They had come to my door just after I had finished my shower so I opened the door wearing jeans and no shirt, bald head and tattoos shiny and clean. I could tell that they had given at least a moments thought to running away. I laughed and asked how I could help them
The two ladies then went into autopilot opening their black books and asking me if I had accepted jesus. Unable to pull the fast attack on two elderly ladies holding olive branches I informed them I had not. They assured me it was something I needed to do. I disagreed and told them if they could answer some questions to my satisfaction then I would be happy to have jesus over for dinner every Wednesday evening and I would even invite him over for beers on weekends.
The ladies and I had a enjoyable conversation, I did do most of the talking.

If(big if) there is a god then why didn't he/she/it didn't design your life so that you have to take things 'on faith' daily? The world around you is interactive, allowing you to touch it, see it, feel it, test it, and experiment with it... you don't have to take any part of it 'on faith' except the part you are not part of because you are dead.
My son has cerebral palsy. He will never feed himself, use language, (except his own)he will never walk, he is unable to tell anyone if he has a pain or need of something. He is a wonderful kid and happy in his world. he has also gone through tremendous discomfort and needless suffering. Surgeries, pneumonia, seizures, are just a few things on the list. Some of the stories I could tell you would break your heart. What possible need could there be to cause this little boy to suffer?
When religious people get all weepy after hearing about my son and say "you just need to have faith" or "if you pray, jesus will help heal your son" I want to hit them in the face with a brick. Jesus isn't going to heal my son, he is who he is and that is the way it is. To be mad at god for his disability would be like being mad at jack frost for a cold spell.
I wonder why religious people can't use the same logic they use in everyday life when they consider an entity who is sitting in a magic kingdom looking over us and watching as children like my son struggle through life. What about the other children who suffer only to pass away? What about that child's family who live the rest of their lives with a pain no parent should ever know? Is this god testing them? Testing them for what exactly? If god feels the need to do some sort of SAT on people before they get into heaven or go to hell then why isn't everyone tested? Does he/she/it use a lottery system? That doesn't seem very fair, you would think a god that could create the universe could figure out a fair way of giving a test. What about the countless stories of loved ones lost, not quick and painlessly but after days, weeks, months, or years of suffering? Couldn't god find some way of cutting to the chase? Is she/he/it trying to make sure the story fills enough pages to satisfy the publisher?
Why can't the people who consider themselves the children of a loving god apply the same rational to that gods example as they would to anything else? Because god created everything then it's okay to treat people like shit? So if you give birth to a child it's okay to torment them? I think most people would say it's not.God clearly lacks any ability to provide clear guidance and as a role model it/he/she fails miserably. My dad was an alcoholic for a lot of my childhood (recovered now thank you very much) and he was 100x the role model god provides.
Those who follow organized religion use a 2000 year old book as their guide. usually the parts of the guide that actually apply are picked according to how comfortable they make the user.
If you were looking for a doctor would you pick one who learned his trade from a 2000 year old lesson book written in a language he wasn't fluent in, translated by random people with no medical knowledge, and he followed the book's instructions according to how easily they made it for him to live his life?
And what about it being okay to drink beer but if you smoke some weed you are a sinner? Where is the logic in that?? Wasn't pot created by god? Who came up with beer? Beer doesn't grow out of the earth or rain from the sky, doesn't man make beer?
With that the ladies had run out of time. They thanked me for the conversation and assured me they would relay some of my questions to whoever the head honcho was at their place and get back to me ASAP. I smiled , thanked them for stopping by, and informed them I would await their return. As I closed the door I thought to myself "Not a single answer..... JESUS CHRIST!"

    god's plan

You are going out for a special evening with the woman that you love. Do you just play it by ear? Do you simply hope the restaurant has a table? Do you just assume the theater is in a good neighborhood? No you don't do those things, you plan it out, if you didn't then that love of your life would begin to see you as an inept fool.
Calling to make sure the dinner table is available and in a comfortable spot and using google map to check what kind of neighborhood you will be walking hand-in-hand through. And at the end of the night you will be happy about the choice you made to stop and buy those condoms before the night began....your good planning not only results in a great night...it gets you laid.
Do you go into the managers meeting at work with out any way to take notes? Probably not.
You are going to take a road trip do you buy a map? Fill up the car with gas before you leave? Chances are you do.
Now why do you plan ahead? Because things go smoother, less unwanted surprises. Does you planning always result in a flawless journey? I think we all know the answer to that.
Many times when some event causes the suffering of others religious people will chalk it up to 'god's plan'. They will shake their heads sadly and tell you how god has a plan and all the suffering that seems so meaningless to us will somehow make sense at some point in the future when god reveals his 'plan'
I wonder what plan could possibly include the suffering of innocent children and the torment of those who know nothing of this grand plan, all they know of is the horror they must endure before their time here on earth ends.
I would ask those who believe in a god who has a secret plan which includes allowing countless children to starve, young girls to be raped, young boys to have their lives destroyed by those they trust most, men who represent god, what kind of creator is it you embrace?
Why would a being who has created everything we know to exist make such a plan? Why a plan that leaves his children in darkness to suffer for unknown reasons? What possible need could there be to cause such horrible suffering of totally innocent beings?
If you are made in his image then your thought process should in some way mimic god's also shouldn't it?
I would love to hear how such behavior is explained so that anyone can suddenly exclaim "YES! It all makes sense now!"
I'm sorry I just can not see that happening and every time I hear about a child who dies of a horrible disease or is born with a defect that causes them to suffer every minute of their lives, every time I hear about a young girl raped, tortured, and murdered, every time I hear the story of a young man forced to do unspeakable things to a priest, every time I think about people who are blown to pieces because someone else thinks their god has demanded it, I think that it gets a little bit harder to believe some higher power has allowed these things to happen because it has a plan.
If there is a plan it sucks and makes no sense. If the day ever comes when I come face to face with a entity who has come up with this type of plan I plan to ask it some serious questions......
